It started that summer
Jason Todd kills the Joker and goes missing for months, it's up to his brothers to bring him back home. But what triggered his disappearance that summer? // Jason had always kept his distance from his family until Bruce nearly lost his life to the Joker. In an attempt to bring the family closer, Dick plans summer hangouts. Everything goes smoothly until Damian, the kid who always had it out for Jason, has a birthday party. Dick Grayson's life has never been easy, but he'd like to think it's been going better lately. He's been operating mainly out of Gotham again for almost a year, and has been in a steady relationship for just over. He knows where he stands with crime-fighting, and the family is all on pretty good terms, considering. Things are really going pretty well. Unfortunately, the balance doesn't last long, and old horrors from Dick's past end up dredged up alongside new ones. This is a story about love and family, but equally so about trauma and healing from it. And it's hit alright- found its perfect targets. A firm bullseye. But Aphrodite's game is going to be drawn out- for we do so love the drama. The path of emotion is one that can be hard to navigate, and that's just what Damian and Raven will have to do as they face new threats, old faces, strange feelings, and familiar places. Oh the joys of adolescent life. AUTHOR: So, hiya my dears, I reckon quite a few people will know me from my book 'Demons', but this one is in no way linked to that one. It's set in the DCAMU as I feel most people know the ship or were introduced to it via the animated movies. It's set after Batman: Hush (so after TT vs JL and The Judas Contact) and will take lots of comic elements too- though I will be going mainly with the DCAMU characterisation. Just so you know! Maybe that's the point, maybe no one's meant to care for him. ___ Or in which Jason gets abducted, he doesn't expect anyone to rescue him. Especially considering Dick and him aren't on the best of terms at the moment. But when his older brother gets captured while out searching for him, things change. And Jason will stop at nothing to ensure the elder's safety. Even if it means risking his own.
