His love of history ignites his curiosity about a series of suspicious and implausible events described in the aged manuscript, including a possible homophobic arson attack on a local property.  But how much is fact and how much is fiction?  Can he unravel the secrets of the book and uncover the truth that has been locked between its pages for two hundred years?

I am aware that the language spoken in Ireland two hundred years ago has variations to that spoken in modern times.  However, I'm also aware that Wattpad is culturally diverse, and for many readers, English is not their first language.  Many people may not be familiar with archaic Irish dialect, which may detract from the enjoyment of the story.  Therefore, in an effort to make this story comprehensible to everyone, I have prioritised reader accessibility over historical accuracy with regard to any language that might otherwise be seen as dated.
