Lance McClain is from a well known assassin family, he thought if he escaped that life and left it in the past, it could never harm him, never come back to him, but he thought wrong. There was a term mainly used for those that thought they could escape their past, you can't run from it and it always catches up to you and Lance realized too soon that his past would indeed catch up to him.
