"You will be safer here than anywhere else," was his curt reply.
"Why?" her voice hinted fear.
"Do I count this as your second question?" he asked raising an eyebrow. "I don't mind telling, but you will be left only with--"
"No," she cut him off, getting irritated. "I have better ones to ask."
That worked, phew, he thought.
"Why did you care to know what I thought about love? You don't seem like a kidnapper to me."
"Not everyone is heartless. My job is my job. Treating you harshly isn't a part of it. Unlike others, I do have a conscience. You believe in love, that's why I wanted to know what you think about it," he completed.
