Emmaline Stark is the daughter of the infamous billionaire, Tony Stark.
After living away from his superhero life, forbidden to ever be involved in such a dangerous place, things change ever so suddenly on her 19th birthday.
After a big fight with her father, she makes him agree to let her help the Avengers, but with three ground rules.
• Excessive training so she will always be prepared
• No missions until she is qualified by him
• No romantic involvements with any members of the team
She of course agreed on everything, finding silly that he would even think she would want an avenger, since everybody was so nuch older than her, except for Peter of course, but he is her best friend, so he doesn't count.
After moving in the Avengers tower, her life changes. But nothing really big is assigned to her for the first 4 months.
Until Steve Rogers talks about recruiting an old friend of his.
Bucky Barnes is an ex-assasin, mind controlled by HYDRA for years and finally saved by the avengers , who thought they put an end to his misery.
Nightmares and paranoia, won't even let him step out of the house which makes him exist more as an entity than a person.
When his good friend from the past offers him a job for the avengers, he never thinks he will take it. Until he realises work may be the only thing he truly needs to get back to his old life, if that is even possible.
When they meet they both come to the conclusion that they will never get along.
Unless one of them let's their guard down first.

A few years of homeschooling later, my dad decided public school would be more beneficial for my childhood development. I'm obviously not good with new people, so this idea didn't thrill me. I somehow ended up making friends though. Things started to get weird after I woke up in hospital, people started looking at me weirdly and my dad felt distant. I start getting close with Peter, but I over hear something strange in the Avengers compound about myself, so I end up going to Peter's, trying to escape from the truth of happened many years ago. Will I run away with Peter and will everything go to plan? Or will the truth come out, leading to a relationship I'd never expected to happen? Still being tormented and haunted by the memories of when he was the Winter Soldier. Bucky has tried so many things to help him deal with the trauma of his past but nothing has helped. The Avengers can see how bad the nightmares are affecting Bucky and are really worried about him. Tony has since forgiven Bucky for what happened to his parents all those years ago but can see that he has not forgiven himself. He decides to bring in some outside help though is unsure how the team will react to the secret that he has hidden for 21 years, he knows that she is Bucky's best chance to forgive and heal himself. Her life has never been simple, especially when being the daughter of Tony Stark, but she has dedicated her life to helping horses and people alike heal from past trauma. And now her dad has asked her to help Bucky with his inner demons. But can she help Bucky while still battling her inner demons or perhaps heal each other bringing hope back into their lives? (Author's Note: This story takes place two years after Civil War but with my twist, I debated about adding the Infinity/Endgame storyline but decided not to because I'm still not over all that emotional trauma that the Russo brothers and Marvel put me through. So I decided to bring the concept of one of my favorite Canadian shows Heartland based on my favorite book series growing up. The rescues in my story are either some from the show/books but with my spin as well as some real-life horse rescue cases that I have seen online. Hope you all enjoy it, no pun intended.)
