Megatron and Arcee knew each other before the war. They met, fell in love, and had a baby. Arcee had just given birth to her baby when she had found out Megatron had started the war. Once she figured it out, she took her baby and ran. She ran only to find herself in one of Shockwave's labs. Shockwave had already known about the baby because Megatron had told him and he promised Arcee he would take care of it while she fought in the war.
