Because my universe has abilities, I'd like to explain how it works. My universe isn't set in 2024, instead it's set in the 2100 range. The story is meant to be modern with a futuristic feel to it (Technology is more advanced for example). My universe has things in common with our modern world, however, many things are added, changed, and don't exist entirely. 
I realize that I don't explain this very well in my book, and I do plan to write it in The Hanging Tree, however, I can't get everything down in the same book, and there's no harm in writing it down like this.
Also, I will sometimes talk about Angels and Demons, I am not religious in any way, and when talking about them (Unless stated otherwise) it is not meant to be linked to any religion.

Imagine this: drifting off to sleep, only to awaken in a world beyond your wildest dreams. You find yourself in a different civilization, at different point in time, where magic is a part of daily life with extraordinary laws of physics. There, free energy powers everything, immortality is a given, telepathy, telekinesis, elemental mastery and manipulation of matter are facts of reality. A realm where the science of interstellar and interdimensional space travel is taught in schools and vacations are spent on other planets of different galaxies in multiple universes. That, is part of the reality I call my life - more specifically, since my 13th birthday. Before understanding what it all meant, I had to go through some experiences - a subtle and gradual initiation, which shifted my beliefs and ways of how I approached/ viewed the world. My conclusion: Now, currently 33 years old (in 2024), I feel comfortable with the research I've done, reaching a point where reality to me - is the dream and the dreams, are the real reality! And, it all started with that one vision I got, as I had just turned 13. It made life look like a big simulation, partly fabricated... like in a game. Thus, I am writing this book as a kind of journal/ a collection of the key dreams, visions and astral travels I have had - all filled with adventure, magic, romance and experiences from parallel lives that helped me explore the true nature of humanity within all of creation. I could as well be super-crazy but... I will leave that to you, to decide. Just take it all in with a hint of skepticism, self-discernment and an open mind. He stood there for a few seconds, then his expression turned evil. He started running towards Lucy with incredible speed. Gray noticed this and right when he was about to hit her, Gray stepped in front taking the hit. Lucy rushed towards gray and kneeled beside him. He managed to let out a few words before loosing conciseness. "Your the only.... One... Who can save him." Tears were falling from her eyes. She nodded and stood up. "Natsu, I will save you."

It's the first time in my life I wanted someone's attention so badly I didn't care how I got it. And that was too dangerous for me to hold onto. "Are you insane or some shit? I could have killed you!" He says and starts to walk towards me. I take a big breath and step back away from him, "s-stop! Axel," I stutter still panting. It's then he notices the blood on my hands and shirt. "Is that blood?" He asks staring at my shirt and I take another step back. "Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it. "Don't run from me Blaze it won't go well," he growls reading my thoughts causing me to freeze in my spot. "Do not ever think you can get away from me."
