Every Friday night at the big mansion on the rock cliffs there is a party. One for all high society to chatter and revel in their money. Of course at these galas there is classical piano playing throughout the night and it draws attention from someone other than the rich. Oceana Pearl is a young mermaid who loves music. Every night she'll sing on the rocks and wait until another party. One night as she is up on the rocks watching the young piano player and all the fancy people she notices a human boy about her age among them. He shies away from the crowd and sits by the piano player watching him and tapping his slender fingers to the downbeat, cracking a bright smile now and then. Her heart flutters and she knows she must find a way to meet him. With a little bit of magic she can turn into a human girl, but only for an hour every day. Will a romance bloom with the high class boy or maybe even the talented pianist?

Although terrified, he moves forward to help untangle her as no one else is moving. He prays that she'll forgive him. Worry forms when she takes a lock of his hair. Was that a way of marking him? Regardless, he doesn't fight, not wanting to make it worse. Worry increases when she's spotted again. Muriel begins to develop a crush on Prince Philip after he frees her from the net. When her sister's displeasure with her grows worse, Muriel seeks to avoid it. In a desperate attempt to do so she finds herself cave of the sea witch Minerva. Philip's kindness remains prominent in her mind when Minerva offers her a choice to be a human. Hesitantly she agrees, unaware of how different the human world from hers. Philip's bodyguard begins to catch on that Muriel is different and Percy and the king quickly become desperate to find her. My own version of "The Little Mermaid" by Hans Christian Andersen.
