Inuyasha's father is pressuring his son into marriage, after his first born and him had a huge fight and it didn't end well, so Sesshomarou left the kingdom and never to return he refused to be peaceful with Humans. 

At least back then this is how he felt. So, when Inuyasha get sick and tired of all these horrible and spoiled rotten princesses, who are not in his league and he was tired of them looking at him as a prize to be won, when in truth there only interested in him because he's a prince, they don't care about the rest of it all. So, Inuyasha gets sick and tired of having his life lived for him by others, so he runs off into the night and leaves home, but only to get himself into trouble and is saved by an unusual present girl who's very different and there's a lot to her story then meets the eyes.
