Deep in the small yet hauntingly lonely town of Sleepy Hallow stood it's one and only asylum. And within it's dark walls, a man known as Elias Crane lay awake night after night after vividly horrific nightmares of a myth passed down from several generations of a soldier who fought on the opposite side of the Revolutionary War.
as the story goes, the man was killed in battle and his head was sliced clean off his body with a sword by a man named Jacob Crane.
Jacob was the great great grandfather of Elias Crane and ever since he was a small child, the stories of the Headless Horseman roaming the battlefield where it was slain back in 1776 and whoever saw him or got close enough to him was never seen or heard from again stuck with Elias for all those years. Voluntarily committing himself to the asylum was Elias' way of hopefully getting some control over the dreams but progress was slow and the dreams and hallucinations grew more frequently and more vivid and terrifying each night he fell asleep.
Elias vowed to end this terror once and for all but no matter what he did , the Headless Horseman always found a way in the end to prevail. But one night Elias swore to priteca young girl named Emily who could somehow see the horseman as well but in their attempt to run and hide, Emily was killed by the headless monstrosity... or was she...?
