Valentina DeLuca : A renowned assassin and hacker, known for her skills and independence.

Dante Romano : A ruthless and dominant mafia boss, feared and respected by all.

"Care for a drink?" a deep, commanding voice interrupted her thoughts.

She turned to find Dante standing beside her, his piercing blue eyes locked onto hers. His presence was overwhelming, a mix of danger and allure that sent a shiver down her spine.

"I don't drink on the job," Valentina replied coolly, masking her surprise with a defiant glare.

Dante's lips curved into a knowing smirk. "And what job might that be, beautiful?"

"None of your concern, Romano," she snapped, stepping back, but he grabbed her wrist, his grip firm yet oddly gentle.

"Ah, but it is my concern," he said softly, his eyes darkening. "You see, I can't let you kill him."

Valentina's heart raced. She yanked her hand free and glared at him. "Then it seems we have a problem."

"Indeed," Dante agreed, his smirk widening. "But perhaps we can find a solution that benefits us both."

"You're staring at him again," Valentina sighs. "Hm?" I responded, not catching on to what Valentina was inferring. She tugs on my arm and shakes her head, chuckling. "You were staring at Mateo." She takes a sip of her coffee, looking up at me. "I'm not," I reply, "I was just daydreaming in his direction, it's his fault for sitting there." "Then why was there that look on your face just now?" "What?" I turn to her and she raises an eyebrow, "What look, Val?" "You look a certain way when you see him," Val pauses, to turn towards Mateo who was laughing at some joke Diego made, "You look at him as if he's some sort of new high-tech gun." "And?" Valentina sips her coffee, grinning at me, "You love guns." Maliyah is a tough nut to crack. She was brought up for her shell to never crack, never to let anyone walk through the door that leads to her heart, which is why she vows to only fuck, never to open that door leading to a relationship. But Mateo has a way of doing things, he always manages to succeed in everything. When he finds that it might not be as easy to get into Maliyah's heart, he just broke down the door leading to it. I grabbed my glass, sliding hers to her and taking a long drink as she hesitantly reached out to take her glass. I watched her staring at the brown liquid in the glass, looking to be debating. "It will help with the pain you're in," I decided to say, making her look up at me. There was something in the depths of her eyes, something that nearly made me shiver. Then she looked back at the glass, tilting it to her lips and downing the entire contents. I was surprised, seeing her clench her eyes shut, her lips in a firm line. "Why did you have them brand me?" she finally asked, setting her glass back on the table before meeting my gaze. "Marking you," I replied. *************************************** *************************************** Evelyn has given up on life as an upstanding citizen when she is taken by unknown men with cash to burn. "Angels and demons often meet in the bodies of mortals." Nadia wasn't one for an easy way out. That wasn't how she had been trained- how she survived. But, one regretful job later, she finds herself in deeper sh!t than usual, with no clear route out. You see, when an assassin falls into the hands of the Italian mafia, with another mafia on her ass, things could only get more complicated from there. And with Nadia at the helm, they undoubtedly do. ~ "You're going to be the death of me, Piccola," he murmured huskily, lowering his lips dangerously close to her neck. Her breath hitched as his nose dragged its way up, his lips hovering inches away from the sweet spot on her neck. "Believe me," Nadia murmured breathlessly, "it's a mutually assured destruction." ~ •Complete!• •First Draft• #1 in Mob 06/02/22 #1 in Female Assassin 29/09/21 #1 in Femmefatale 03/09/21 WARNING This book is going to handle sensitive subject matters, contain swearing and violence from the start and chapters and moments that may not be suitable for younger readers.
