When a secretive research site ends up making the mistake of a lifetime, the world slowly descends into chaos. It's only ever been seen in movies, but there's no other way to describe what happened to the earth and the people living on it, other than an apocalypse. A group of humans stick together to try their best to survive, they eventually lose their home, forcing them to travel and find a new one, they make friends and enemies along the way, but they manage to find quite an odd group of survivors, if they can even be called that. The humans, desperate to survive yet scared for their lives, have to decide, do they risk trusting a group of talking robots, or do they take their chances on their own.

The group needs to get back normal and go home before the dangers of the sea get to them first.

(Yes, the image is AI because I can neither draw very well, nor can I assemble five soldier-like people just like that to take a photo. I fully agree though, that AI "art" is not real art and I merely use it when I have no other way. The rest of the book is 100% free of AI and written only by my mind and keyboard. Please excuse any mistakes in my book, I am sleep-deprived and English is not my mother tongue).
