"Sunflowers in Exile" is a poignant and gripping tale of one Ukrainian mother's journey from the war-torn streets of Kharkiv to the unfamiliar landscape of Germany. Oksana's story is one of heartbreak and hope, of love tested by distance and circumstance, and of the unbreakable bond between a mother and her child.

As bombs fall on her beloved city, Oksana makes the heart-wrenching decision to flee with her young daughter, leaving behind her husband and the only life she's ever known. In Germany, she faces the challenges of building a new life in a foreign land - learning a new language, navigating unfamiliar customs, and grappling with the guilt of leaving loved ones behind.

Through Oksana's eyes, readers will experience the raw emotions of a refugee's journey: the fear of the unknown, the pain of separation, the struggle to maintain identity in a new culture, and the resilience of the human spirit. As she forms bonds with fellow Ukrainian refugees and kind-hearted Germans, Oksana begins to find her footing in this new world, all while holding onto the hope of one day reuniting her family.

"Sunflowers in Exile" is more than just a war story - it's a testament to the power of love, the strength of community, and the enduring hope that blooms even in the darkest of times. This deeply moving novel offers a timely and intimate look at the refugee experience, reminding us of our shared humanity in a world often divided by borders and conflict.

Perfect for fans of "The Beekeeper of Aleppo" and "Exit West," this book will stay with you long after you've turned the final page. Don't miss this powerful exploration of war, exile, and the unbreakable bonds of family and culture.

As we go through life, we meet people who deeply touch our hearts and change us in meaningful ways. They leave lasting marks on our souls, transforming who we are. The footprints they leave behind guide us towards growth, ensuring we can never retrace our steps to the person we once were. And then, there was him. We found each other at the precise moment when our souls were ready to collide. Love enveloped us, and in his arms, I discovered a deep sense of belonging. Everything felt right, as if the universe had conspired to bring us together. But life has a way of unraveling even the most beautiful stories. In a cruel twist of fate, the ground beneath us began to crumble. The very thing that had given us hope and joy now carried the weight of our lives, feelings, and emotions, threatening to snatch them all away. The perfect illusion shattered, leaving behind broken fragments of what once was. He is the one who taught me how to love. But as I stand here engulfed in his absence, I realize he forgot to teach me the most crucial lesson of all-how to let go. The pain of holding onto his memory is unbearable, yet I would endure it all, for it's a bittersweet reminder of the love we shared. I'd trade my everything for just one more moment with him, for even a fleeting moment holds more joy than a lifetime without knowing him. ❁❁❁ This is Book 3 of my Botanical Novel Series, but it can be enjoyed as a standalone book. Poems are a great help to depression. My cover is not be very appealing and my title seems boring. Poems are also not liked by people very much and is considered boring. I may not get many views. But in the end "Don't judge a book by it's cover" only wins. So I have bought you some sad poems, food related ones, poems related to the things I love, Love yourself, Romantic and many more. These are written by me and please don't post it anywhere without my permission. To explain you why I have added a pink heart with black background, it is because the poems tell a story of girl(me) to whom people think she is very cold, straight forward, rude and all those things but... in reality she is too soft for this harsh world. The pink heart represents the softness she is hiding inside using her black side so no one would misuse her. The angel in her still haven't faded after getting betrayed, lost, depressed, fake people, bully and many more. She doesn't wants to go through this again. The pink background in the upper half tell that she still have hopes in her life. I want the readers to know the deep meaning behind the Title themselves and I won't reveal it until the end of the book. Keep your guesses up and think what possibly could be the meaning of this unusual title. Thank you and enjoy the journey of this little girl warning: if you are expecting this to be a story then sorry it isn't a story but a collection of poems written by the "little girl" depending on her mood that time. It is more like a Journey. You could skip it if you want to. Or learn about the little girl I'm representing/my life. Credits- I don't own the pictures used here however some are mine most are from other websites and I give their credits to them.
