Everyone's always heard mentions of plague doctors, but what about plague nurses? No one has ever heard mention of them before, until one day the plague strikes our lives, and who's there to help? Yes, yes, the plague doctors, sure, but there's one woman who touched everyone's lives. And she was the Plague Nurse. This story takes place in 1348 to 1350 Europe where the entire country was devastated by an epidemic of plague, called at the time the Great Mortality and later the Black Death. The epidemic reached southern Europe from the Middle East and spread northward, reaching England in June 1348. This one brave woman helped the people of England, without charging them for her services.
