Set in 1990s Russia, "I Never Said Yes" follows the turbulent life of Vasilissa Ivanov, a sharp and determined teenager forced into an arranged marriage with Boris Petrov, the arrogant and manipulative son of the influential Petrov family. Amidst the societal pressures and personal turmoil, Vasilissa clings to her feelings for her childhood crush, Igor Smirnov, a kind yet self-conscious young man battling his own internal struggles.

As Vasilissa navigates her unwanted marriage, she finds herself dealing with Boris's unfaithfulness and the emotional upheaval it causes. Her life becomes even more complicated when she begins to shift unexpectedly from place to place, meeting new friends and encountering strange situations.
