Born to two ballroom dancers in the 1930's, she had everything. Popularity, a nice house, cool but to a certain extent strict parents when it came to her dating life. She had it going until jealousy struck her family when she became the star child, which she didn't ask to be. Being the star child ended up costing her life.

In the story it's 74 years after her death and Layla is living her best after life. Fiancé to a handsome man who grew up in the same town as her and a great friend group. This is her story.
