Hey everyone!

As the anniversary of the Nowra POW breakout approaches, I wanted to share some exciting news. I've written a short story inspired by the real-life events of this fascinating chapter in Australian history, and I'm entering it in the Great Australian Yarn writing competition!

For those who may not know, the Nowra POW breakout occurred during WWII when over 1,000 Japanese prisoners attempted to escape from a camp in New South Wales. It was a dramatic and intense event that highlighted the bravery and determination on both sides-the Japanese prisoners seeking to restore their honor and the Australian guards caught off guard yet striving to maintain control.

My story aims to capture the experiences of both the prisoners and the Australians, bringing this significant event to life through their eyes.All Rights Reserved
