"Anu... why? Why did it have to end like this? Why did this happen to us? It wasn't supposed to be this way. You-" (he pauses, swallowing hard as if the words are choking him)
"You shouldn't have done it. You shouldn't have... left me like that. You should've fought! Fought with me, alongside me. I-I still would've accepted you, Anu. No matter what you did. No matter what they said. I would've taken you back... every time, every damn time."

"But those bastards... those bastards! Living their lives like nothing happened. Like they didn't destroy us, didn't take everything away from us. Laughing, celebrating, sipping their fancy drinks, driving their big cars... while we rot. While you're gone."

"They ruined us, Anu. They spoiled us. They crushed you so bad you couldn't take it anymore. And now, what? They get to walk free? Free to smile, free to live in their big houses, while you-while you-" (his voice cracks, and he sinks back onto the cot, burying his face in his hands)
"You didn't deserve this, Anu. You didn't deserve any of it."

"They think they've won, don't they? They think they've erased us. But they don't know what's coming. When our bodies are found-when our blood stains their lives-they'll see what they've done. They'll know."

" And those bastards... they won't laugh anymore. I'll make sure of that, Anu. I promise you. I'll make sure they feel every bit of what we felt."

"I'm so tired, Anu. So tired... But I'll keep going. For you. For what they took. I'll keep going, even if it's the last thing I ever do."
