Ballad of the Desert

Raised by wolves that prowl the Western desert, Jade learnt to become human again after saving a man dying of thirst. Originally a Southern Dynasty citizen, he brought her back to the Jie tribe where he taught her arts and literacy and became her Father. However, she was yet again forced to survive with her lupine family, after her Father's death during the Jie tribe's coup d'etat, to escape the hunters who sought to silence her.

Initially content with living out her days in the desert, she fatefully meets the calm and soft-spoken Meng Moxun, whom everyone calls the Ninth Master, then the handsome yet cold General Wei Wuji. Following her Father's dying wishes for her to see his birth place, she adventures into Jianan City, the capital of Mainland and changes her name to "Luna". Upon meeting these two men again, her past will influence how she responds to her future.

Both men become exceedingly important to her survival as she unwittingly becomes embroiled in a dangerous political struggle within the Southern Dynasty palace, where these people were also at war with the Jie Tribe. Her past was bound to catch up with her.

She falls for one man, but was rejected. What was his reason and who will she choose in the end? Who will protect her from her past, present and future? Ultimately, what will be the fate of her and her protectors?...
