She looked up seeing a pair of foot stopped infront of her, her voice was barely above whisper but enough for him to hear in the heavy rain. The silence overtook the air with sound of raindrops hitting ground, when he stared her, her state was utterly vulnerable.

He placed his one knee on the wet floor, before squating down at her level staring deeply in her teary eyes and whispered in his husky voice which come out rougher than intended.

"Aap"

He moved his face closer to her, such that the drops fell from his hairs and get splashed on her face, with negligible distance between their nosetips.

"humse vivaah kijiye.."
(Marry with me)

"K-kyu? kyu karna chahte hai aap humse vivaah?"
(W-why? What do you want to marry me?)

Were the only words she could think and ask at that moment. Because based on what she had heard about him, it was sure for her that he definitely didn't proposed her to marry with intensions of helping her.
