I've been wondering how the story might have unfolded had Tajdar taken longer to change his mind about taking Alam in that night, when she had escaped her debut at Heeramandi. Or what if he hadn't changed his mind at all? Would working closely with other rebels like Bibbo have broken Tajdar out of his mindset about Tawaifs? Would he have lived to see the Independence of the country he had fought so hard for? Would his life post-independence have led him to Alam once again? Would their love story get the happy ending it deserved? --- The story picks up from that fateful night when Alamzeb showed up at Tajdar's doorstep hoping to start a new life with him, only to discover that she'd been tricked into running away from home, possibly eliciting her mother's fury forever. But it was Tajdar's reaction to the knowledge of her background that plunged her heart into deep sorrow. It wasn't his words that had hurt her, but the tears in his eyes. Did he really believe that there was no worse fate to be had than falling in love with a woman from the infamous Heeramandi? So be it! Without wasting any time and in a moment of fury and courage that was highly unlike her, Alamzeb wiped her tears, picked up her trunk and fled from yet another place that would never accept her for who she truly was. Leaving Baloch Haveli and Tajdar behind, Alam ran towards the deserted road to catch up to Iqbal and the buggy. Disclaimer: Based on Heeramandi By Sanjay Leela Bhansali On NetflixAll Rights Reserved
