Dear Reader,

If you find yourself reading this, you have probably followed the lives of the Baudelaire orphans rather closely. In this case, you probably know about the terrible streak of bad luck they had throughout the entire series. From the moment they found themselves on Briny Beach with Mr. Poe, to the moment they arrived on the island, very few happy things happened in their lives.

For the last couple of years I thought that I had completely lost their trail. However, it seems that I was wrong. It has been my solemn occupation to complete the history of the Baudelaire orphans, which I was not able to do until now.

I cannot tell you much but it involves an unexpected encounter with a lost relative, a man with hair but no beard and woman with a beard and no hair (or vice versa) and of course, the search for the stolen sugar bowl Wanderlust is a word which here means "a lust for wandering;" but if you have read the exceedingly long novel of Leo Tolstoy entitled 'Anna Karenina' then you know that a rural life of moral simplicity, despite its monotony, is the preferable personal narrative to a daring life of impulsive passion, which only AND always leads to tragedy. If anyone asks you "Is a safe life really enough?" Take my advice. Look away from this sad tale. And answer yes to the person who asked you.
