Amythia, a seventeen year old vampire, lives in a little house alone on the grounds of the Finn Silverleaf House of Healing. She's been treated for a curse known as "The Hunger," a voracious appetite that appears in young vampires who have courted the ill favor of a vampiric spirit. While curable, not much is known about the curse and her parents agreed to let them study her for a while before a cure is administered.

But one day, a young man moves in with her. She soon finds out that he is part of her treatment. But he has a magical condition of his own. No matter what he says or does, he appears repulsive to all in his company. And while The Hunger recedes in his presence, Amythia has no where to go.
