Atlas wasn't a bad person, at least not in the traditional sense. He never stole from his friend's mother's jewellery boxes or threw half-drunk school milk cartons at the weird kids for fun. However, because of his wealthy and spoiled upbringing, Atlas was used to taking without giving, and when he was suddenly required to give, it wasn't very clear to him.
He only took off to a temple in the northern mountains(made for people to sharpen their minds and physical skills) to skip school, but he never thought that he would have to save the world repeatedly with people he had just met. And what did he get in return? The world trying to kill him! Repeatedly!
