Elly Cinder-stone was an angelic, kind young girl who lived with her mother and father. At the age of ten her father fell ill and passed away. Her mother and she were devastated. After three long years her mother remarried a fine, handsome man and had a beautiful baby boy. Her stepfather also had two handsome, young sons. After time the sons started to tease Elly, but she remembered what her father told her before he passed; 'Be kind and truthful. If so your life will be fruitful.' Her father’s words were the only thing that kept her going.

After her 15th birthday a horrific accident rendered Elly an orphan, leaving her in the hands of her dreadful stepfather. With three other men in the house and a baby, Elly felt more alone than ever. Weeks of grieving went by before anything got done. The house was a mess and there was so much laundry to be cleaned you could practically climb up it and see for miles. Thus the demanding of cleanliness begun. 

A year passed and Elly was still a servant for the men. Although, however horrible they were, she always remembered to be kind. One afternoon Elly was out grocery shopping when she bumped into a handsome guy. Shane was one of the most popular guys in his school. He was rich, popular and had a great face. Elly was enchanted by his charm and good looks, so much so she disobeyed her stepfather and hung out with him often.
