They say that when you fall ill, you can't imagine how it had felt to be fit and healthy again. The memories disappear and all that you are left with is the pain and the feelings of being helpless, like your life is merely just hanging on the edge of a thread. If you compare it, I felt like that after the year of abuse I had endured, I couldn't remember how it felt not to be hit and shoved around.
