Everything changed that day when the sky turned black. When the creatures seemingly popped out of nowhere. All I wanted was for my brother to come back to me. For my family to no longer have to pretend to be happy. I never wanted this. I never expected this. 

I had my future path planned out and mapped till every inch and corner was filled. I was going to finish high school. Get a cheer scholarship. Enter business school after undergrad. Get a nine-to-five job that whole thing. I didn't plan for monsters the size of trucks to come storming into my life. I mapped out how I would be spending the rest of my life in constant fear that they might end my life one day. I never figured out that I would be trapped in a pocket dimension, that my whole town would be trapped in a pocket of hell. When did it all go wrong?

War, however, forces the loser to obey no matter what for however long the winner decides. If humanity-the entire world-only submitted to the strongest then he would dominate them all. Only he would be the strongest, allowing no other person to even come close to his power. He would burn the world down to its very foundation, eradicating everyone who stands in his way, and rebuild it anew. The new world would be transformed into what he could never have. A fair and just world, devoid of all sins, where everyone can live a peaceful life without the constant worry of what could hurt them next. New laws will be placed while the old ones are removed. All evil will be purged from the world. Any who stand in his way will be turned to ash to help build his world. If the world wanted him to be evil so badly...then he would be a malicious tyrant that rules not with an iron fist, but a diamond one. Of course, there will be many who will fight back. However, there is only one person who even has a chance at winning...and she only cares about her little sunshine.

Monsters are everywhere, but the human ones are the worst. At least the Creatures of the Night don't kid almost families, friends, neighbors, coworkers. Once reborn they live in the night. Sure, they do all of the same twisted things that humans do to one another, but they don't hide who they are. When you see them you know death is coming. You can predict the sick things they will do to you. But when the monster looks human, you're blindsided. One minute you're in love with a guy and the next he's slitting your throat. Trust me, I speak from experience. Gruesome things that use to make me sick now makes my stomach flutter in joy. I traded charming grins and blue eyes for carved smilies and orbs of onyx. I traded sunlight for the glow of the moon. I gave up living amongst humans for creatures of the night. And I wouldn't go back for anything in the world. I am finally home. I see a girl with dark brown almost black hair, with brown eyes that have been dull for years. I sigh and raise my shirt so I can see the bruises from my opponent last night. If you haven't guessed yet I am a street fighter and a good one at that. I fight in a place called The Underground where my manager Smith sets up my fights. Although I'm only 5'3, I still only fight with men. For me that means more money that I win. Did I mention I am undefeated at The Underground? No, well I am and almost everyone places their bets on me. Or should I say placed because me and my family are moving across the country to New York which means I have to find a new place to fight and make money. That was really my only problem with moving because I don't have any friends here, it's not like people haven't tried I just don't like getting to close to people. Although my family still doesn't know about my street fighting, we still are very close after what happened with my father. They left but I know they will come back and finish what they started and that's why I started street fighting. I need to be able to protect me and my family when they do come back. I'm not letting my family get hurt this time.
