In 1970, psychologist Zick Rubin proposed an explanation for the difference between liking and loving. Sometimes nakakaramdam tayo ng appreciation or admiration para sa isang tao. We enjoy spending time with a person and want to be around them. This is "liking", and according to Rubin hindi ito kalidad para tawaging "love".
