To the general public, Paul Hope was the electricity-controlling superhero known as Blitz. As a prominent member of The Seven, he fought alongside the likes of Homelander, Queen Maeve, The Deep, Black Noir, A-Train, and Lamplighter. But public perception could never compare to the reality of his situation. Because beneath the glossy veneer that The Seven's public relations team attempted to present was something so dark and traumatic that the only way Paul saw out was faking his own death. It's been two years, and Paul has lived in hiding, avoiding the use of his powers and doing everything he possibly can to cope with his trauma and create a life worth living. But when a ragtag team hellbent on exposing and stopping The Vaught Corporation uncovers the truth- that Blitz is alive and well- he realizes that until he faces down the demons of his past he will never truly know peace. Allying himself with them, Blitz decides that the time for hiding has passed. But when his new allies reveal that they have enlisted the aid of Soldier Boy, a superhero long-thought to be dead- Blitz begins to question his involvement. Soldier Boy is a toxic, destructive, and dangerous ally to have. And though he may be the key to standing up against their enemies, he is also the template from which the corruption springs. As the team works to enact their plans, Blitz finds himself begrudgingly growing close to Soldier Boy, learning that beneath the surface of horrific deeds and problematic behaviors is a man whose own trauma is nuanced and deeply complex. Will Blitz find peace after years of trauma or will he become yet another causality in the war against Vaught? Will Blitz find something like love in the arms of Soldier Boy, or will the broken man just hurt him more?
