Dropping in a new world

"You know, this place can really use a makeover!" I whispered as I looked around the frozen wasteland, seeing nothing but ice and snow for miles around. Silence crept except for the wind, I look around at multitude of people looking at me.
"What?" I asked.

16-year-old Brayden Alcott, A historical survival nut and RPG nerd was supposed to spend a nice summer with his older brother and friends.
But a worldwide disaster struck when he and 2999 others are mysteriously taken into an unknown world, where monsters thought mystical or dead still roam the world, all the while the world itself changes them into something less human.
With nothing but his (untested) survivor knowledge and allies, will the 3000 survive this world long enough to make it back home... Or will this unknown world claim them for good.
