This story is about an African American family that struggles with money and doesn't have many people to care for them; only grandma and dad. Mom happens to be in jail and carried her bad habits to her oldest daughter! What they don't know is that the youngest daughter who is 13 has a love for surfing and dancing which she tries to learn to master on her own. When she moves out with her older brother, her whole life changes!
