After two seasons of grief from losing her mother, Charlotte finally felt good enough to look forward to the spring, a spring that had so far brought so much for her to be thankful about: She had earned her Ph.D, she had gotten a good job, and she began to do her side business again as a clown-for-hire for kids birthday party.
