The Hearth Keeper's War

Sparrow has one goal: to leave her pokey little life in her small town and join the army. When something happens at a nearby temple that rattles her world, Sparrow finally forsakes her family, disobeys her goddess, and strikes out on her own in a quest to become the greatest warrior their country has ever seen. Never content to be second best, Sparrow will stop at nothing to achieve what no hearth keeper's daughter ever has! To succeed she must master the blade, horsemanship, battle tactics, and so much more than she ever anticipated.

Note: this is a FIRST DRAFT. It will be clunky, there will be typos aplenty.
