Survival. That's all Clover has thought about since the rest of his species vanished overnight, leaving him alone. The world he once called home was now a hostile place determined to end him swiftly, either by the harsh seasons that he must bare, or by the claw of the nightmarish creatures that now roam. When two otherworldly visitors offer him a chance to live in a world with other people once again, Clover accepts without regret. However, this new world is one dominated by magic that he cannot wield, with rules foreign to him, and a sour reputation already branded on him. Faced with new dangers and secrets both mortal and divine, he marches onward while the mantle of survival weighs ever heavier.
