An Unlovable Monster

It's a story of a girl called Evelyn Conterry (yes, I made her last name up). Evelyn was a mute girl ever since she was 4 years old. Something terrible happened. Leaving her with a scar across her face and a loss of her older brother.
With her brother gone, Evelyn's parents were never the same they started to abuse Evelyn, making her weak and scared. Sometimes, they would leave her in the basement for months only to bring her food and water every few days. She had a tough life . It was until one fateful day at the age of 15 that Evelyn was accepted into Merlin Academy, will Evelyn's life get better, or will she stay the same quite secluded little girl.
