Seeing the very person she cared about transform into a feral animal in front of her eyes was something she didn't want to see. Her eyes were filled with dread, sadness, and terror upon seeing him roar and bare his fangs at innocent people, his body now ice cold from the virus piercing his skin. Crying, she realized that if she didn't make the antibody on time...the Straw Hat's doctor, Tony Tony Chopper, was going to die in her arms.

First One Piece AU! It may be a rewrite of the Ice Oni virus minisaga in the Raid on Onigashima part of Wano, but it will be extending towards the end of the arc as a whole. Mostly post raid stuff and when they leave Wano. Plus the whole Ice Oni virus part did give me IDW Sonic Metal Virus vibes. Be warned for minor body horror, lots of trauma and angst, and spoilers to the Onigashima raid in One Piece's Wano arc; I only own the AU, my OC, and the cover art! Updates might be slow since it usually takes awhile for me to rewrite bits and pieces of episodes.

This is the first time I've written a full story about something related to an anime and manga series, and of course I had to kick it off with a new obsession of mine that is the global phenomenon known as One Piece. This was on my mind after watching the Drum Island retelling movie(bruh I bawled like a five year old), so here is a rewrite of the arc/season with my OP OC in the mix! When Nami falls ill, the Straw Hat pirates seek medical care for her on the icy coldness of Drum Island. It happens to be the very place where one of their members, sixteen year old Devil Fruit wielder Mirai Tatsumi, grew up after being casted out of her home village shortly after gaining her power to turn into a dragon hybrid. While on the island, the team meets Tony Tony Chopper, a reindeer doctor who happened to be Mirai's mentor and the only best friend she ever had long before she met Luffy. When the old king returns to claim what was rightfully his, the six pirates must band together to protect the land and its people. As a small warning, spoilers to Drum Island are in this story! Although I do not own One Piece and its characters, I do own my OC.
