Summary: A husband and wife go on their long awaited honeymoon to Hawaii. Unfortunately, on this holiday, the husband (Akuji) takes a funny turn and passes away due to food poisoning. Half of the story follows Mary (the wife) as she experiences the five stages of grief while falling in love with another man (Ray) after the death of Akuji. The other half of the story follows Akuji's experiences as a ghost, watching Mary go through the five stages of grief, knowing all he can do is watch her suffer, begin to move on from his death, and fall in love again with Ray, watching him shape the future that was meant to be spent with Akuji.
