y/n has lived in Chicago her whole life. her whole family has always been super into hockey but y/n kind of got sick of it since that's all her family talked about since her brother, Alex Vlasic, played hockey and got drafted to the Chicago Blackhawks. she had just turned 18 and decided to move out of her parents house and into her own apartment. she had lived their for about 6 months and had just gotten a new neighbor, Connor Bedard. As they spent more and more time together they thought they both only saw each other as friends but they really saw each other as much more than that.

Sophie Amelia Tkachuk was the first girl to ever qualify for the World Juniors, and was the youngest Tkachuk sibling, the little sister of famous NHLers, Brady Tkachuk and Matthew Tkachuk, and friends with Quinn, Jack and Luke Hughes. Ever since Sophie was a little girl, she dreamed of playing hockey with her brothers in the NHL. But when she was told that she couldn't be able to do that due to her being a girl, her world crashed. Ever since then, Sophie trained for days on end, to hopefully prove to the NHL that she was good enough to play, but deep down, she knew that would never happen. But little did Sophie know, the NHL had other plans for her on June 28-29, 2023. A/n: Connor Bedard doesn't come in until later in the story, as the first few chapters are just to explain Sophie's background and her journey up until June 28, 2023. Another is that Caroline's sweet and soft personality does not match Corey's dangerous and outgoing one. But in times of need it's each other they lean on and support.
