Asha Vassal was just a padawan learner but her trials for knighthood were in her near future; this mission was going to prove to her master and the other council members that she was ready for the weighty responsibilities of a Jedi Knight. She had dreamed of standing alongside her master, Shaak ti, as an equal, taking on missions of great importance and guiding her own padawan someday. But now, faced with the menacing presence of General Grievous, she felt those dreams burning to ash within the heat of the flaming wreckage.
