This book is a representation of my life over the past seven years. I first started writing poetry when I went to foster care when I was 15 years old. Poetry was my outlet for all of the anger I had inside with nowhere for it to go in a healthy way. Poetry for me is like the second baby that I have birthed and grow from my stomach, out of the labor pains of my life's trails.
