Dr. Michael Bennett vowed never to revisit the horrors of dinosaurs or John Hammond after the catastrophic events on Isla Nublar. He brought in several people to the island of Isla Nublar in order to endorse the idea of a dinosaur theme park. A park where people could interact with living and breathing dinosaurs. Among those people were Dr. Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler. The park trial failed resulting in death and the shut down of Jurassic Park. In 2015, Simon Masrani and his company Masrani Global had shown their interpretation of John Hammond's dream with Jurassic World amusement park operating in full swing. However, the park went into full chaos when a hybrid called the Indominus Rex escaped and wreaked havoc all over until it was stopped by heroes Keira Grant and Owen Grady with the help of friends and trusty (somewhat) velociraptors. Jurassic World was in shambles and was turned into a sanctuary, redesigned to protect the dinosaurs. After hitting a few speed bumps, Isla Nublar became a safe haven. Theodore Alan Grady was born under the two legends who run the sanctuary. Maya Hyde is the newest paleontologist on the market, her name being tied to finding a new dinosaur skeleton, but obviously not just any cluster of bones, as she managed to dig up an infamous tyrannosaurus-rex with her team. It made headlines the second she arranged the excavation. Although she caught the attention of people she didn't want any. For example, her uncle, John Hammond, invites her to this mysterious island to see some stuff she had never seen before. By nature, she rejects him, but upon hearing that he would be funding her t-rex project she quickly changes her mind. That's how she ends up getting too close to dinosaurs for her comfort. Not the dead ones... But that's also how she meets Ian Malcolm, who only manages to add to the chaos Maya experiences on that damn island.
