THE LIGHT SHINES THROUGH

Elora Rivers has heard her parents argue downstairs since she was a child, they were pretty much always arguing and yelling at eachother. Their attention wasn't focused on Elora or her sister, Gabriela. Sometimes they would even toss things around when they argued, and Elora would sit in her room covering her ears, with tears running down her cheeks, she had a habit of keeping her feelings to herself, until they felt like a heavy stone in her stomach.

When Elora was 12, her dad moved to another city. Elora started to isolate herself from people, thinking no one wanted anything to do with her. Depression, anxiety, eating disorder and self harm, all of those things she kept silent. She didn't think anyone would listen anyway. When she tried to commit suicide one night, one who actually does listen and one who actually loves her so much he hung on a cross, encounters her. And even tho she didn't have an earthly father who loved her, she had a Father who did, her Spiritual Father in Heaven.

Ezra Hart used to be a nice and well behaved child, eating fancy dinners with his parents who works in the business industry. But when his parents got busy to the level where they were on trips almost every day and didn't use some of their time for their children anymore, Ezra was used to the feeling of being abandoned by his parents. His older brother, Eli, was a soccer player and Ezra also started playing soccer at the age of two. But when he got older, his parents pressured him to always play and to not make a single mistake.

Ezra joined the soccer team in school, but he just felt like a void. At the age of eighteen, he's a great soccer player, had girls following him around in school.... he was like a wall. He didn't talk about his feelings often, he thought he should be careful to show feelings. And then he has to hang out more with a girl he used to know....
