Briar Viola Bennett, the sweet, quiet, gentle, soft, college student that has an enhancement only of innocence, though there is lots going on inside of this sweet girl's head that she won't let anyone see through. She does it all really, she pays her sick mother's hospital bills, works 5-9 at a coffee house on campus, paints and draws whatever details she saw in a rock, but it all forms together and makes sense to why the girl never gives her the time for herself and always putting herself last. As long as her mom dies happy, any person she talks to doesn't seem like they hate her, and the couple in her recent romance book she's reading doesn't turn tragic, Briar doesn't see the wrong in putting herself last. Until a few of those needs in her life take a turn and she's left with the only option of her enemy's presence.
Nate Wesley Grey, the quarterback star for University of Michigan, also well known as the star in hookups, as well as parties, oh and let's not forget the campus whore who likes to leave his marks. But what people don't know is that Nate also has lots going on inside of his own head that he won't let people see through. A tragedy that had occurred the past year during a game that no one can seem to forget, especially Nate Grey. Now coming back to another season of football it's all Nate thinks about. Nate struggles with grievance and loyalty through the season which ruins his career and picture for what the NFL had in mind for him. Nate tries to get himself together and throw all the new bad habits he has created for himself away, but he couldn't do it without the help of an enemy he's had in mind for a while. In which he becomes obsessed with through the process.
The only question is, what is the two's secrets that are ruining their lives that they have to turn to each other for? You might know their's but the population at The University of Michigan mustn't for the both of them. And what will happen between the two?
