Edmund Cromwell is a monster hunter in Medieval France. As the heir of the famous Cromwell family, he kills a variety of creatures, most being vampires.
After a brush with death, Edmund is offered to be turned into a vampire spawn by Lucius, to which he accepts. The hunter continues his line of work, eventually becoming a vampire hunter who is also a vampire. Edmund must learn to become the very creature he dispatches while confronting his feelings for the most beautiful creature he has ever met.
