The world is a ruin of a place, degradation and pollution shelled by pretty neon lights and inescapable advertisements. High-tech, low-life. In one such neo-city Ophelia, a low-born just trying to get by, is captured by the corrupt government for whom control is key.
she must find a way to escape and tear apart the government from the inside for the sake of those who are most oppressed. along the way, she gains the assistance of someone unexpected. 

hi! this is very much a work in progress and so far i have only the opening to the story, but if people end up seeing this then i'm hoping to continue expanding this universe! i havent worked out the whole plot yet but there may be some romance later down the line!

Governments across the globe found that humanity wasn't what it was before and had become dark and terrible to live in, so to fix that they made a small utopia pulling in families, scientists, and important government officials to create the perfect pair of humans. Those two humans would be trained to kill what humanity has become and start it all over, so the world would be a better place. But once they make the female, they find that she is not like her partner. She has a different goal in mind than restarting humanity. This is my first book, so it may have a few mess ups but I hope you enjoy, I have worked hard to at least get this out.
