Aliya "Li Li" Fields. A twenty-two year old Journalist living in North Carolina. Aliya had become the girl who stayed to herself and never said too much considering her tragic past. Suffering from bad anxiety and depression-Aliya only worked and went home. Isolating herself from the world.

When Aliya gets assigned to do a story on Jevonte Jones-she soon finds herself becoming soaked up in his world and learning more about the man everyone seemed to have the "wrong" perception of. 

To the world he was rude, arrogant, disrespectful, and closed off but that wasn't the man Aliya got to know.

He was a man who'd gotten dealt the bad end of the stick when it came to life. He was just a man with pain that he masked with anger.
