Summer's a nice person. A singer. A future music teacher. A good babysitter. She's anything but dangerous, even if her thoughts suggest otherwise.
What if I brushed my teeth with a razor?
What if I hurt someone?
Summer Bell has OCD... but not the Khloe Kardashian 'super clean closet' kind of OCD. More the type that tells her:
"I'm going to die if I wear the color red today."
"I could push this person out of the window, and they would die."
"I don't love my boyfriend."
The thought "I do not love my boyfriend"presents another big problem. Because she does love her boyfriend. At least, she thinks she does. Then again, sometimes she has intrusive thoughts about stabbing him with a fork while they're cooking together. She's never actually acted on her thoughts, but the more she thinks about them, the less sure of herself she feels... If Summer can't differentiate her thoughts from her feelings, how can she ever be sure of who is and what she wants? The only thing she can be sure of, is she wants her OCD to stop running her life.
💗 about the book & author💗
HI!! My name's Chloe. I'm a 21-yr old mental health advocate. I wrote and am trying to publish a YA Romance novel called UNTHINKABLE THINGS.
It's about a bisexual 18-year-old girl living with severe OCD. She struggles with many OCD symptoms, particularly Harm OCD-which causes a person to have unwanted intrusive thoughts that they might hurt someone else-and Relationship OCD, which makes a person constantly question and second-guess their relationship.
