[[忘羡 | WangXian 4]] : Wisdom By Sunlight, Devotion By Moonlight
12 parts Ongoing Mature[ON HOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE]
~
Yao Shi, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji's teenage daughter goes through a rough time, finding out that her dads love and miss their long-lost son more than her, and her heart fills up with spite. Unable to practice cultivation, she can only envy the mysterious fabled legendary cultivator that he is supposed to be. At the same time, an equally mysterious sorcerer is roaming the country, fabled to be the strongest cultivator who has ever lived, able to perform combined forms of magic. Forbidden magic.
The Empress, thirsty for more power after the suspicious death of her husband, is quite eager to build a strong collection of her own: an army of cultivators who would be only loyal to her. As a Chief Cultivator, responsible for the balance of powers in the country, Lan Wangji cannot let that happen. But being politically involved in the intrigues at the Royal Palace, and being the dad of a moody child, unmarried at that, is hard to do. Especially with someone as needy as Wei Wuxian on your arm.
It is a happy coincidence that an old wise man stumbles on the threshold of the Cloud Recesses one stormy night in April, just before Yao Shi's birthday. Perhaps the Shifu would agree to teach the wild, disobedient child?

This is the next book of the #WangXian series; this is a sequel to [WangXian 3: Our Flesh And Bones].
I will try to keep this one brief, and with less explicit/mature context.
Characters are based on *Módào Zǔshī* by Mòxiāng Tóngxiù.
