after the last few years of fighting monsters together mike and will finally catch a break when their families decide to go on a joint vacation. during this their relationship with one another changes. however, this break doesn't last for long because as soon as they get back to hawkins they are met with many surprises. both good and bad. with the party they return to their days of fighting off evil and traveling to new dimensions.

the year is 1986 and the byers have moved to california while the rest of the crew remains in hawkins. max and mike travel to california to visit el and will. the friends spend time catching up and showing the crew around. after, mike, will, argyle, and jonathan decide to take a road-trip down to hawkins to see the rest of the crew. leaving max and el alone with joyce and hopper. but what will happen when mike and will are alone in a car together for 3 days?
