After escaping years of torture from HYDRA and being recruited by Steve Rogers to bring his best friend out of the Winter Soldier, Amélie begrudgingly agrees to join a team of heroes in an attempt to atone for the sins that weigh heavy in her soul.
Falling for Steve was a surprise; neither of them meant to develop the feelings they did, but it didn't seem to be the worst part of their messy lives.
But, as memories that were thought to be unretrievable begin to resurface in Amélie's mind, she became faced with a decision between the man who helped her move on from the pain HYDRA brought and the man who kept her sane during those very years.
This is a Bucky slowburn fic, but there is a relationship between the OC and Steve as well. Enjoy!
